Division I W. Volleyball

Ready, Set, Spike

Only four teams will begin their quests for the Division I Women's Volleyball national title on Thursday, but one of them is No. 13 seed Saint Louis. The Billikens take on Alabama A&M in the Lexington Regional, followed by Michigan and Kentucky. The rest of the field of 64 gets underway on Friday.

For the second straight year, the Duke women's soccer team's season has come to a close in the NCAA Tournament as the 15th-ranked and third-seeded Blue Devils fell, 6-1, at second-ranked and top-seeded UCLA at Drake Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif.

BCS Favors Sooners

Oklahoma jumped past Texas into the second spot in the BCS Standings and earned a spot in the Big 12 title game after the standings broke a three-way tie atop the Big 12 South.

D-I XC: Gale-Force Win

Oregon's Galen Rupp sprinted to a win in the men's race to pace his team's title. On the women's side, Sally Kipyego took the individual crown and Washington won the team race. .

Bowdoin Repeats In D-III
